The Gl. Rye Kro - The Old Rye Inn - was built in 1924 and has a history that dates back over 400 years. Restored in 1987, the inn still retains the character of bygone years, with guest comfort paramount. The inn offers twenty modern and well-equipped guestrooms with en-suite bathroom, two restaurants with varied and appetising cuisine for all tastes and cosy sitting rooms. The inn is situated in the middle of delightful countryside, with wonderful views of the encompassing area. Neighbouring the GL. Rye Kro a once frequented destination for pilgrims is the old monastery ruins, which the Tower of St. Sorens at Rye-a-campanile rises.
